SKATE AT SNOWSHOE

Mountain Lodge has brought skating to Snowshoe’s mountaintop village with a state-of-the-art, Swiss-manufactured, eco-friendly Glice skating rink. The indoor rink is perfect for days when the weather isn’t the best on the mountain and provides a fun activity for those who don’t ski in the winter – no extra layers of clothing are required to stay warm! Open year-round, it’s a fun alternative for those here in the summer as well.

Our 50-minute or 1-hour-50-minute sessions include skate rentals and plenty of time to slide across the synthetic ice. Join us for a public skate or rent the entire rink for your family and friends to have an exclusive and special time together.

HOURS: The indoor rink will be open year-round, with daily 50-minute skating sessions starting every hour. The first session starts at 10:00 AM and the last session begins at 7:00 PM. The rink closes at 7:50 PM.

LOCATION: The rink is located in the Mountain Lodge building – at the top of the Village right next to the main Ballhooter ski lift. It’s an easy walk from anywhere in the Village, but Snowshoe’s shuttle can drop you off right off at our front door if you are staying elsewhere or want to save your energy for the rink. Check-in at the front desk in the main atrium area to get your skates and access to the rink.

Parents and spectators are welcome to watch from the railings.

BOOKING: Booking online and completing your waivers before arrival will save time and make check-in a breeze! If you want to join a session that will begin in 1-2 hours, you will need to register and pay at the front desk at Mountain Lodge as drop-in spots may be available on a first-come, first-serve basis as long as our maximum capacity is not reached. For public skating sessions, we are limiting the rink to approximately 15 skaters. If you rent the entire rink, you may have up to 19 skaters participate.
